ACT ^QC for Quick Couplers

HKX, Inc. has developed the Active Control Technology for Quick Couplers (ACT^QC) system. This quick coupler control system was developed in response to the increasing safety concern with quick coupler operation. The new ACT^QC system focuses on educating and assisting the operator with the coupling and uncoupling procedures while not increasing cycle times.

ACT^QC directs the operator through step-by-step, interactive instructions while alerting them to any safety precautions that need to be followed. Graphical illustrations and buttons reinforce the on-screen text instructions, enhancing the operator experience. More critical operations such as unlocking the coupler require operator confirmation, helping eliminate operator error.

SAFETY FEATURES:
	Safety Precautions	Safety precautions for specific quick coupler operation must be accepted to continue coupling / uncoupling procedures.
	Step-by-Step Instructions	Illustrative, step-by-step instructions lead the operator through the proper coupling / uncoupling procedures.
	Audible Warning	Audible in-cab buzzer warning when coupler is unlocked. NOTE: Two alternating buzzer warnings when coupler has 2 hydraulic locks.
	Visual Verification	Graphic icons represent the state of the coupler locks.
	Operator Confirmation	Pop-up warning screen will need to be confirmed by operator before the coupler can be completely unlocked
	Maintenance	Notification when scheduled number of hours or number of cycles has been fulfilled.
